Tassajara Road Realignment Project
The project provides for the planning, engineering, design, and construction to realign Tassajara Road between Palisades Drive and the City of Dublin/Contra Costa County border, continuing north to Windemere Parkway located within Contra Costa County. Work will include widening the segment of Tassajara Road from two to four lanes, adding new bike lanes, sidewalks, a landscaped median, stormwater treatment areas, and other associated street improvements. Upon completion, the project will help improve safety and achieve better circulation while adhering to the City of Dublin’s Complete Streets Policy.
This project is being done in collaboration with Contra Costa County, which will be acting as the lead agency. The total estimated cost of the project is $35 million, approximately $14million of which is being contributed by the City of Dublin. Remaining funding is being provided by Contra Costa County.
The estimated start of construction is dependent upon utility relocation, right-of-way acquisition, and issuance of permits by regulatory agencies.
The project is currently in the preliminary 35% design phase.
Our current anticipated schedule is as follows:
- Design Completion: Late 2025
- Environmental Permits: 2026
- Right of way acquisitions: 2026
- Construction Begins: 2027
Estimated Project Cost: $15 Million (City of Dublin Contribution)
