How will this work affect you as a resident?
The work associated with a cape seal will require one-way traffic control on Dublin Boulevard within the project limits. Flaggers will be stationed at the end of Marshall Canyon Drive and at Silvergate Drive, as well as at street intersections in between. At times, the contractor may have a pilot car that vehicles must follow to direct the flow of traffic. Please expect traffic delays during the work and adhere to any lane closures on Dublin Boulevard.
Parking
While the work is in progress, the City’s contractor may need to prohibit parking on the street. The contractor will post “No Parking” signs a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) in advance of the scheduled work. Please be aware that, due to the possibility of unforeseen circumstances, such as equipment breakdowns and inclement weather, the posted dates and times could change. You may continue to park on the street until the date and time shown on the signs. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the temporary “No Parking” restrictions. If you are planning to be out of town during the time that the work is to take place, please arrange to park your vehicle(s) off of the street to avoid having your vehicle(s) towed. Emergency vehicles will have access to the streets at all times.
Driving on the Street
During several of the construction activities for this project, street access may be intermittently restricted. Streets will be opened to traffic and access to driveways will be available at the end of each day. Due to expected delays, we recommend taking alternate routes and avoiding Dublin Boulevard within or adjacent to the project limits. Advanced notice signs will be provided notifying the community of the work schedule.
Street Closure
During the cape seal process, your street or access to your street from Dublin Boulevard may be closed to vehicular traffic for a period of 8 hours or longer as necessary to allow the cape seal material to be installed and dry prior to placing vehicle traffic on the new roadway surfacing.
We apologize in advance for any disruption caused by this work. Thank you for your cooperation as the City of Dublin invests in maintaining your streets.
