Slurry Seal 2025

2025 Street Resurfacing – Slurry Seal Project

Project Overview

The 2025 Street Resurfacing – Slurry Seal Project will take place in phases across various neighborhoods throughout the summer.  The first phase includes the sealing of existing cracks, localized pavement repairs, and replacement of damaged curb and gutter.  The second phase involves new slurry seal, and new pavement striping and markings.  The third phase will be pavement resurfacing on Hacienda Drive between the 580 ramps and Dublin Boulevard. During the various phases of the project, parking and lane restrictions will be in place.

In total, the project will rehabilitate approximately 144 street segments, covering over 3.7 million square feet of roadway with fresh slurry seal.

Project Schedule:

Begin work: End of May 2025
End work: November 2025

How will this work affect you as a resident or business?

On the day your street is noticed to be slurry sealed, it will be closed to traffic, and you will not be allowed to drive, walk, or ride a bike on the asphalt street until the slurry seal has properly cured, and the road is reopened.  If you need to use your vehicle on the day your road is closed, please park it on an adjacent street not being sealed that day.  Please look for the “No Parking” restrictions.  It is very important that you do not drive or walk on freshly installed slurry.  Slurry seal will stick to the vehicle and will track onto sidewalks, driveways, carpet and flooring and will damage those finishes.

Parking

While the work is in progress, the City’s contractor may need to prohibit parking on the street. The contractor will post “No Parking” signs a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) in advance of the scheduled work on your street.  Please be aware that, due to the possibility of unforeseen circumstances, such as equipment breakdowns and inclement weather, the posted dates and times could change.  You may continue to park on the street until the date and time shown on the signs.  We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the temporary “No Parking" restrictions.  If you are planning to be out of town during the time that the work is to take place, please arrange to park your vehicle(s) off of the street to avoid having your vehicle(s) towed.  Emergency vehicles will have access to the streets at all times.

Driving on the Street

During several of the construction activities for this project, street access may be intermittently restricted.  Streets will be opened to traffic and access to driveways will be available at the end of each day.

Street Closure

During the slurry seal process, your street or a part of your street will be closed to vehicular traffic for a period of 4-6 hours or longer, as necessary, to allow the material to be installed and dry.

We apologize in advance for any disruption caused by this work. Thank you for your cooperation as the City of Dublin invests in maintaining your streets.
