Specific Plans
Dublin utilizes specific plans as a tool to implement the guiding policies contained in the General Plan. The City has adopted four specific plans that encompass a specific geographic area of the City. Each specific plan contains policies and design guidelines that are tailored to implement the community’s vision for the future of these areas and to ensure a coordinated development scheme. Physical improvements to property within each of these plan areas must comply with the policies contained in the General Plan and the corresponding specific plan. The following provides a brief description and link to the specific plans:
- Downtown Dublin Specific Plan
Guides the creation of a vibrant and dynamic commercial and mixed-use center that provides a wide array of opportunities for shopping, services, dining, working, living, and entertainment in a pedestrian-friendly and aesthetically pleasing setting.
- Dublin Village Historic Area Specific Plan
Guides future development in the specific plan area to be sensitive to the area's historic past and to preserve and enhance the area's historical, cultural, and archaeological resources. - Eastern Dublin Specific Plan
Provides a planning framework for the future growth and development of approximately 3,300 acres that lies to the east of the Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area. - Dublin Crossing Specific Plan
Located in the heart of the City, Dublin Crossing will be a vibrant neighborhood where people can work, live, and play. The large central park will serve as a gathering place for the entire city, with direct access to the Iron Horse Regional Trail and links to the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station.
