PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The City of Dublin Planning Commission will take action on the following project:
PROJECT: PLPA-2014-00017 Dublin Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan General Plan Amendment, Eastern Dublin Specific Plan Amendment, Dublin Village Historic Area Specific Plan Amendment, Downtown Dublin Specific Plan Amendment and Dublin Zoning Ordinance Amendment, Dublin General Plan Conformity and Negative Declaration
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Dublin has prepared the Dublin Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan which combines the update to the Bikeways Master Plan (2007) with the City’s first Pedestrian Plan into a comprehensive document that provides policies, network plans, prioritized project lists, support programs and best practice design guidelines for bicycling and walking in Dublin. Associated amendments to the Dublin General Plan, Eastern Dublin Specific Plan, Dublin Village Historic Area Specific Plan, Downtown Dublin Specific Plan and Dublin Zoning Ordinance are proposed to maintain consistency with the Dublin Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. The Planning Commission is being asked to review the amendments, and associated environmental document, and make a General Plan conformity determination for the Dublin Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), together with State Guidelines and City Environmental Regulations require that certain projects be reviewed for environmental impacts and that environmental documents be prepared. Pursuant to the CEQA, an Initial Study and Negative Declaration was prepared and circulated for public review from June 14, 2014 to July 14, 2014. Two comments were received on the Negative Declaration and were responded to.

PUBLIC HEARING:
A public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin. Any interested person(s) may appear and be heard on this matter. A written appeal may be made to the City Council within ten (10) days of such action by anyone who appears at the meeting or who otherwise informs the City, in writing, of the nature of his/her concerns at, or prior to, the hearing. If you challenge the above-described action in Court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Dublin at, or prior to, the public hearing.
In general, the Staff Report for this item will become available on the City’s website at www.dublin.ca.gov on the Friday before the scheduled meeting.
