  1. Zero Out Your Energy Bill - How to Improve Your Home's Efficiency, Health, and Comfort

    The City of Dublin and StopWaste invite you to this free home energy workshop. You'll learn how energy efficiency rebate programs can improve air quality and thermal comfort at home, and how State policy and market developments are driving changes in energy rates. You will also have the chance to learn about the following programs: East Bay Community Energy; Home Energy Score; Home + Rebates; and SunShares. You'll also learn which local contractors participate in government rebate programs. A light dinner will be provided, and one lucky attendee will receive a free portable induction cooktop.   2. Creek Cleanup Day

    The City of Dublin is seeking volunteers for participation in the City of Dublin’s 9th Annual Creek Cleanup Day. Dublin’s Creek Cleanup Day is part of California Coastal Cleanup Day, which is the largest volunteer event in the U.S. Volunteers will meet near the basketball courts at Emerald Glen Park for instructions and a light breakfast, and then make their way to one of several creeks in Dublin to help pick up trash. Volunteers will leave to go to their assigned creek by 9:30 a.m. and return to Emerald Glen Park at noon for a light pizza lunch. Registration for the event is required, and all participants must complete a waiver. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

  1. Baby Bounce

    Join us for a new early literacy program for babies (birth to 18 months) that are not walking. We will look at a few short books, practice a lot of rhymes and bounces, and learn some fun new songs. "Stay and play" will follow the 20 minute program, giving caregivers and babies a chance to socialize. This program takes place in the Virginia Bennett Room.

  2. Lawyer in the Library

    Free legal assistance is provided by a volunteer lawyer. The attorney will consult to define your problem, advise you of your options, get you started with a solution, and make a referral when needed. Sign-ups begin one week before the lawyer's appearance. Advance registration is required, and there are limits and conditions to each appointment. You will need to bring any paperwork pertaining to your case when you come to see the lawyer. This free consultation is not intended to, and does not establish, a continuing attorney/client relationship. The volunteer attorney can only provide brief consultation and referrals (as necessary). The volunteer will not represent you in any matter. If you agree to these terms, you may ask to sign up at the Information Desk or call 925-803-7252 when the library is open.
