  9. Lawyer in the Library

    Free legal assistance is provided by a volunteer lawyer. The attorney will consult to define your problem, advise you of your options, get you started with a solution, and make a referral when needed. Sign-ups begin one week before the lawyer's appearance. Advance registration is required, and there are limits and conditions to each appointment. You will need to bring any paperwork pertaining to your case when you come to see the lawyer. This free consultation is not intended to, and does not establish, a continuing attorney/client relationship. The volunteer attorney can only provide brief consultation and referrals (as necessary). The volunteer will not represent you in any matter. If you agree to these terms, you may ask to sign up at the Information Desk or call 925-803-7252 when the library is open.

  1. Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission - Public Discussion of Future Cultural Arts Center

    The City of Dublin has plans to turn the lower level of the current Dublin Police Services wing at the Civic Center into a Cultural Arts Center. The proposed Center will feature additional dance, music, art, and theater spaces than those that are already offered by Dublin Parks and Community Services. This is the first of three meetings that the City encourages residents to attend in order to provide feedback on the project. The meeting will include a presentation on design values and programmatic elements. Options could include performance space, gallery space, multi-use classrooms, etc. Feedback will be solicited from the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission and the public. Other meetings will be offered on Saturday, January 25, 2020, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Dublin Library, and on Thursday, February 13, 2020, 7:00 p.m., at the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission meeting in the Dublin City Council Chamber (100 Civic Plaza).
