[ARCHIVED] The City of Dublin Presents "splatter...not your ordinary food, wine and art festival"

The City of Dublin will present "splatter...not your ordinary food, wine and art festival" on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at beautiful Emerald Glen Park. This event is equal parts food and wine, with a heavy dose of spectacular art. Over 30 of the Tri-Valley region’s finest wineries and restaurants will be showcased in a unique Tasting Pavilion.

The event will also include a caravan of “Off-the-Grid” mobile food trucks, staged and roaming entertainment, a Craft and Culinary Marketplace and themed carnival games. This unconventional flavor-fest of food and wine will also be complemented by works of art created in produce, bubbles, words, and paint. And due to popular demand, “splatter” will again present “Backseat Theatre,” an opportunity for patrons to enjoy short comedic plays performed in a most unconventional venue – a car!

Event entertainment, activities, marketplace, and food trucks will be open from noon to 8:00 p.m. The Tasting Pavilion will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with a closing concert at 6:30 p.m., followed by an aerial fireworks display at 8:00 p.m.

General admission to “splatter” is free. There are both free and pay-to-play activities. Pay-to-play tickets can be purchased at the event. Purchase of a "Passport” is required to enter the Tasting Pavilion. Each passport is good for 20 samples of your choice and can be purchased in advance online at www.dublinsplatter.com. A limited number of passports will be sold at the pre-event rate of $25.00. You may also purchase your passport at the event for $30.00.

“splatter” is a program of the City of Dublin’s Parks and Community Services Department. For more information call (925) 556-4500.
