[ARCHIVED] Notice of Road Closures: Dublin's Annual Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk

Dublin’s annual Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk will be held Sunday, March 17, beginning at 8:30 a.m. If your residence is located near the run course, you may be affected by the road closures and may not have on-street parking during the event.

The Fun Run begins on westbound Dublin Blvd. near the bridge over the Alamo Canal, heads west on Dublin Blvd., north on Village Pkwy., east on Amador Valley Blvd., south on York Dr., around the bend and north on Penn Dr., and then east past the Iron Horse Trail to the Alamo Creek Trail entrance on the south side of Amador Valley Blvd. The course then follows the Alamo Canal Trail south to the finish line behind the Dublin Library. Following is a schedule of the road closures:

Sunday, March 17 - Start: 7:00 AM – End: 10:00 AM (approximate)
• Westbound Dublin Blvd. from Sierra Ct. to Village Pkwy.
• Northbound Village Pkwy. from Dublin Blvd. to Amador Valley Blvd.
• Eastbound Amador Valley Blvd. from Village Parkway to Wildwood Rd.
• Southbound side of York Dr. and northbound side of Penn Dr.

No parking zones will be posted along northbound Village Pkwy., eastbound Amador Valley Blvd., southbound York Drive, and northbound Penn Dr.

If your residence is along one of these no-parking zones, and you will need to leave during the road closure, we suggest you park across the street from your residence prior to the event. The opposite side of the street will be open to traffic during the event. Course monitors or Police Officers will be posted on every block to help direct you safely out of the neighborhood. Course Monitors will also be posted at the entrances to the townhouses on Dublin Meadows St and Stagecoach Dr to assist with crossing the Fun Run course to the other side of Amador Valley Blvd.
