[ARCHIVED] My Family Reads: The World According to Humphrey

"You can learn a lot about life by observing another species. That’s what Humphrey was told when he was first brought to Room 26. And boy is it true! There are always adventures in the classroom and each weekend he gets to sleep over with a different student, like Lower-Your-Voice-A.J. and Speak-Up Sayeh. Humphrey learns to read, write, shoot rubber bands (only in self-defense, of course), and much more. With a lock-that-doesn’t-lock and an adventurous spirit, Humphrey’s life would be perfect if only the teacher, Mrs. Brisbane, wasn’t out to get him!"

Sign ups start Monday April 16. Join other families in reading this delightful book and plan to attend the following special events:

Kickoff Event Monday April 23 6:30 pm
Hear librarians read aloud from the first chapter of the book, receive a
Humphrey notebook and check out a copy of the book for your family to read aloud.

Then return for…

Humphrey Hullabaloo! Monday May 7 6:30 pm
Families come together to enjoy an “everything Humphrey” evening! There will be a book discussion, a craft, games and snacks.

Families must attend both programs.

The program is limited to 30 families.
