[ARCHIVED] There are a Few Spots Left for the Dublin Police Youth Academy - Starts Monday, June 18!

Dublin Police invites students ages 14-18 to apply to be a part of its annual week-long Youth Academy, taking place June 18-22, 2018.  There are a few spots left for this free program, designed for students who have an interest in criminal justice.  Taught by law enforcement personnel, the Youth Academy offers participants the opportunity to learn about specific elements of the law enforcement profession, such as:

  • Backgrounds and Recruiting
  • Bomb Squad Unit
  • Crime Prevention / Community Policing
  • Crime Scene Investigations
  • Gang Identification and Prevention

Participants also tour local law enforcement agency stations and participate in interactive and physical training exercises.

Students will be required to pass a background check and must have parental consent.  Application packets can be picked up at Dublin Police Services (100 Civic Plaza).

For more information about the Youth Academy, please contact Deputy Vikki Sarasua at 925-556-4550.
