[ARCHIVED] "A Night in Mexico" Featuring Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with music, song, and dance, as the City of Dublin presents Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro performing, "A Night in Mexico," Thursday, May 4, 7:00 p.m., at Dublin High School Center for Performing Arts and Education (8151 Village Parkway, Dublin).   Tickets are $15 and available online.

"A Night in Mexico" features folklorico dancers in colorful costumes, performing creative choreography based on Mexico’s rich cultural heritage.  The vibrant finale captures the true spirit of a Mexican fiesta.  This dance production will take viewers on a journey from pre-Columbian times through the revolutionary period of the early 20th Century, through corridos, songs, and dances from Jalisco.  Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is considered a rising star in the Northern California folklorico scene and is known for its creative choreography and comprehensive performance repertoire.
