If you or a loved one suffer from diabetes, come to free Diabetes Self-Management classes, Thursdays, July 7 through August 18, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Dublin Senior Center. The classes are presented by the County of Alameda Public Health Department. Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to attend.
You'll learn how to gain a better understanding of diabetes and how it is diagnosed; how to eat food you enjoy while managing your diabetes; and how your medications work. You'll also learn seven self-care behaviors, including healthy eating, physical activity, and reducing the risk of complications.
