2024 Volunteer Recognition Awards
At its annual Volunteer Recognition Awards, held on February 19, 2025, at the Shannon Community Center, the City of Dublin announced its 2024 Citizen, Young Citizen, and Organization of the Year. The purpose of the awards is to recognize outstanding individuals and groups who have contributed to the quality of life in Dublin this past year. The Young Citizen of the Year recognizes the volunteer service of Dublin's youth in 1st through 12th grade.
This is a special award that the Mayor presents to someone
whom she believes has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Dublin community in the past year.
Mayor's Legacy Award Bonnie Terra, Division Chief, Alameda County Fire Department
This is a special award that the Mayor presents to
an individual or group to recognize extraordinary, long-term dedication to the Dublin community.
The Organization of the Year received a $500 cash prize, and a $300 donation was given to both the Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year's favorite non-profit organization(s). Additionally, the winners of the Citizen, Young Citizen, and Organization of the Year will be recognized at the March 5, 2024, City Council meeting.
