Dublin Pride Week

Make Your Community Better!

Dublin Pride Week is a community celebration, taking place annually around Earth Day, to celebrate and inspire Dublin residents to give back to their City.  Along with a large volunteer day that combines the efforts of several hundred resident volunteers to complete beautification projects around the City, a number of other planned events and activities take place to further promote environmental stewardship.

Check back in early 2024 for next year's Pride Week activities and schedule.

Dublin Pride Week Activities

Dublin Pride Volunteer Day

Dublin Pride Volunteer Day is an annual event that provides a variety of volunteer opportunities for the community to give back to their city by cleaning up parks and trails; planting trees; and more. All ages are welcome; however, for safety reasons, anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.  Visit https://dublin.ca.gov/215/Dublin-Pride-Volunteer-Day for more information and to register.

Tour of the Wave's Solar / Battery Energy Storage System with Willdan

The City of Dublin is currently in the process of completing citywide energy efficiency and infrastructure projects through a contract with Willdan Energy Solutions. The improvements align with the City’s Climate Action Plan goals and will help the City increase resiliency during planned and unplanned power outages. On Dublin Pride Volunteer Day, Willdan will lead a tour of the energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrades at The Wave waterpark, which includes solar panel and battery energy storage system installation. Register to learn more about how the microgrid will be used to offset energy use of the Wave waterpark and how the building can serve as a cooling center and shelter during emergencies.

  • Registration is limited! We look forward to seeing you.
  • When:  Saturday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: Emerald Glen Park

Details: Registrants should check in for the tour at the City’s Environmental and Sustainability Booth at the Volunteer Fair

Children's Emergency Food Bank Food Drive

Each year, as part of the Dublin Pride Week Celebration, the City partners with the Children's Emergency Food Bank to host a food drive.  Food donation receptacles will be available at various City facilities, including the Library, Civic Center, Shannon Community Center, and The Wave during Dublin Pride Week.

Compost Giveaway

Amador Valley Industries is holding its annual Compost Giveaway event at Emerald Glen Park on Saturday, April 22, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or while supplies last. Dublin residents can take home one bag of FREE compost on Dublin Pride Volunteer Day. The compost is made from Dublin residents’ yard trimmings and foods scraps. This is a great way to see how Dublin’s food waste journey is circular and directly benefits the community!  This is a drive-through event in the parking lot of Emerald Glen Park, off of Gleason Drive.  Limit one bag per household; ID or proof of residency is required.

Prescription Drug Take-Back/Document Shredding/E-Waste Collection Event

Dublin Police Services holds its bi-annual Drug Take-Back event at Dublin Civic Center on Saturday, April 22, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Only prescription pills, tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted, no questions asked. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted. There will also be a document shredding service and e-waste collection available at the event.

Plogging Challenge

Plogging is a fun activity that entails jogging or walking while making quick stops to pick up trash along the way.  The 2023 Dublin Pride Week activities will include a Plogging Challenge to raise awareness about storm water pollution and give residents the opportunity to take action by cleaning up litter from our neighborhoods, parks, trails, and streams. Learn more.

Take these efforts with you and continue to have to Pride in your community year round.
