Dublin Pride Week: April 23-30

Protect Our New American Backyard

Dublin Pride Week is a community celebration, taking place annually around Earth Day, to celebrate and inspire Dublin residents to give back to their City.  Along with a large volunteer day that combines the efforts of several hundred resident volunteers to complete beautification projects around the City, a number of other planned events and activities take place to further promote environmental stewardship. Check out some of the activities below and in the menu tab on the left for more information.

Backup Battery Storage Programs

East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), our local community choice energy provider, launched the Resilient Home program to serve its customers in Alameda County.  EBCE has partnered with SunRun to provide pre-negotiated pricing for rooftop solar, with or without battery storage.  Resilient Home offers an additional $1250 incentive if homeowners enroll their battery with EBCE, sharing power during peak times when there isn't an outage.

Children's Emergency Food Bank Food Drive

Each year, as part of the Dublin Pride Week Celebration, the City partners with the Children's Emergency Food Bank to host a food drive.  Food donation receptacles will be available at various City facilities, including the Library, Civic Center, Shannon Center, and the Wave between April 23 and April 30, 2022.  More information is available on the food drive tab.

Prescription Drug Take-Back Event

Saturday, April 30, is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.  Dublin Police Services will be doing its part in addressing this public safety and public health crisis by holding its bi-annual Drug Take-Back event at the Dublin Civic Center (100 Civic Plaza) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Electronic Waste Drop-off and Recycling

On Saturday, April 30, the City of Dublin is partnering with Recycle1234 to offer Dublin residents an opportunity to dispose of approved electronic waste.  The e-waste drop-off will take place at the Dublin Civic Center (100 Civic Plaza) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The shredding, household hazardous waste and compost pick-up events will not be available this year. Please check back for future dates.

Virtual Energy Efficiency Workshop

On Wednesday, April 27th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, the City of Dublin is partnering with the Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) and StopWaste to offer a free virtual webinar for residents to learn about several no-cost programs to support home energy efficiency upgrades. These improvements are better for the environment and can result in drastically lower energy bills, cleaner indoor air, and superior comfort. Register on Zoom here.
