Dublin Pride Week is an annual event that promotes a positive image for the City of Dublin. The events encourage people to work to improve our world through environmental awareness and volunteerism.

Volunteer Day


Saturday, April 25, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.



Volunteers are needed to help with senior assistance, school and park beautification, creek clean-ups, and non-profit support projects.  Individuals, families, and community groups are all encouraged to register.  Students with volunteer requirements can use this event to meet some of hour requirements. 

Registration for Volunteer Day is required. Register here!  All volunteers are required to complete a signed waiver.

Food Drive

Saturday, April 25, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Food will be collected at Volunteer Day and at grocery stores in Dublin.  Check back for store specifics closer to the event. The donations will be presented to food banks that service the Dublin community, including the Children’s Emergency Food Bank.

Volunteer Fair

Saturday, April 25, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Emerald Glen Park, basketball courts.

Drug Takeback, E-Waste Recycling, Document Shredding

Saturday, April 25, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
100 Civic Plaza

  • Drug Take-back: Bring unwanted or expired medications for safe disposal. No questions asked.
    • Acceptable: capsules, pills, any solid forms of prescription medication
    • Not Acceptable: syringes, liquids, creams, injectables
  • E-Waste Recycling: Safely recycle your old electronics including computers, printers, smart phones, TVs, DVD players, VCRs, batteries, and old gaming systems.  
  • Document Shredding: City of Dublin residents are encouraged to bring any type of documents containing personal or sensitive information to be professionally shredded on-site. (maximum of four boxes)   

Nature in Our Own Backyard Photo Contest

Submissions Due Sunday April 26 

Submit your creek, wildlife, and natural park photographs taken in Dublin between May 2019 and April 2020. Limit of 5 photographs per applicant. The top four winners will receive a gift certificate from Mike’s Camera, a certificate of recognition from the City, a metal print of their photograph, and their photographs will displayed in the lobby of Dublin City Hall. 

Dublin Home Energy Workshop - Improve Your Home’s Energy Efficiency, Health and Comfort

California’s energy industry is in a period of rapid transition, and it could affect your bill.  Learn about how State policy and market developments are driving these changes, and how emerging technologies such as heat pumps and induction cooking can help you prepare. Learn about rebates and meet with local government representatives about programs that can help improve your home’s health, comfort, and efficiency. Bike Commuting 101

Dublin Farmer’s Market

Thursday, April 30, 4–8 pm
Emerald Glen Park

Visit the farmers market to shop for local, seasonal produce.  All shoppers at the farmers’ market will receive free reusable produce bags with their produce purchase.

Fix-It Clinic

Saturday, May 2, 12:00-3:00 pm.
200 Civic Plaza, Dublin Library Community Room

Learn how to fix that broken item that sits in the corner of your garage.  The fix-it clinic will be staffed by volunteer coaches who will help you actively participate in the disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of your item so that you leave fully empowered to share your newfound confidence and insight with your friends, neighbors, and the community at large. Lawn to Garden Party

Sunday, May 3, 9:30 am to 1 pm

Not like any other lawn party – this one gives you an opportunity to help convert a lawn into a garden using sheet mulch, all in one day! StopWaste staff, Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscape Professionals, and sheet mulch educators will all be on hand to provide guidance. Lawn party location will be shared with registered participants shortly before the event.

Waste Free Cooking
