Code Violations

A Code Violation is...
If not addressed in a timely fashion, blight, non-permitted construction work, or non-permitted uses of property, can diminish the quality of life that is enjoyed in Dublin. To respond to these conditions, the City has adopted various codes and ordinances that help to ensure a clean and safe environment. Any non-compliance with the Dublin Municipal Code (DMC) is considered to be a Code violation.

A Code Violation is not...
There are some conditions or neighborhood issues that are not considered Municipal Code violations and thus do not fall under the City of Dublin’s jurisdiction for enforcement. The City of Dublin does not enforce issues between residents that are civil in nature, nor does the City enforce Covenants, Codes & Restrictions (CC&Rs).  CC&Rs are a private agreement between property owners and are commonly enforced by the residential homeowners association (HOA) or property management company.
