Picnic Areas

Group Picnic Areas 

The City of Dublin has twelve parks with picnic areas available for reservations: Alamo Creek Park, Butterfly Knoll Park, Don Biddle Community Park, Dublin Sports Grounds - Imagine Playground, Emerald Glen Park, Fallon Sports Park, Heritage Park, Kolb Park, Positano Hills Park, Schaefer Ranch Park, Shannon Park, and Wallis Ranch Park.

Food Trucks 

Food Trucks are permitted in a designated parking stall. In order to be a food truck vendor, the below requirements must be met:        

  • City of Dublin Business License (Contact: Economic Development Department at 925-833-6650 or visit Business License Registration)
  • Alameda County Health Permit
  • Food Handling Certificate
  • Insurance Certificate and Additional Insured Endorsement (Insurance Sample Documents)
  • As a reminder, no propane tanks are allowed at any of our city parks. 

Inflatable Jump Houses 
A picnic area must be reserved to have an inflatable in a City of Dublin park. Jumpers/bounce houses are permitted at picnic areas A, B, or C at Emerald Glen Park only, and must be supplied by a pre-approved vendor. 

Requirements: 

  • Online Park Picnic Reservations
  • Picnic Rental Fee Schedule
  • Picnic Area Use Policy and Guidelines
    • Reservations are acceptable between the hours of 8am - 8pm daily. 
    • A 4-hour minimum rental block time is required to make a reservation online.
    • A 30-minute buffer is provided for preparation prior to the rental start time and after the rental end time for cleanup.
  • For assistance with the picnic rental process, please call (925) 833-6645 Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm or email recreation@dublin.ca.gov. All cancellation requests must be requested in writing.
  • For emergency assistance during your picnic rental, please contact the Park Monitor on duty at (925) 325-3891 via call or text during the following times: 
    • Monday - Friday after 5 pm  
    • Saturday, Sunday and holidays between 8 am - 8 pm
