The City of Dublin contracts with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office for animal control services provided within the City's boundaries including:
- Collection of stray domestic animals
- Dog licensing
- Barking Dogs
- Enforcement of animal-related laws and ordinances
- Investigation of dog bites and attacks
- Patrol
- Shelter services

Additional Services
Animal control officers are also available to assist with other animal or reptile services not provided by
Alameda County Vector Control Services or the

Rodent Control
There has been an increase in the number of rodents and other vectors (insects, rodents, birds), or other animals that can carry disease found in parks and on private property this year. For more information, please visit our

Nuisances / Vicious Dogs
The City has direct responsibility for the abatement of any nuisance caused by
vicious dogs. If you have reason to believe that an animal poses an immediate risk to persons or property, please contact animal control dispatch at 510-667-7763 or the animal shelter at 925-803-7040 after 11:30 a.m.
