  1. S.M.A.R.T. - Sing, Move, and Read Together (walking to 36 months)

    Join us for a new early literacy program for babies that are not yet walking. We will look at a few short books, practice a lot of rhymes and bounces, and learn some fun new songs. Stay and play will follow the 20 minute program, giving caregivers and babies a chance to socialize. This program is limited to the first 20 baby/caregiver pairs in line. Free tickets will be handed out in front of the Bennett Room five minutes before the program begins.

    Friendly teen volunteers will be available to assist you with using the library’s eBook collection. This program will help you learn how to: Download eBooks from the library’s catalog onto an e-reader, tablet, laptop, etc; Download the apps (if necessary) for the eBook collections onto your device; Help you set up your account with your Alameda County Library card; and check out, access, and return eBooks and eAudiobooks. No registration needed; please drop-in. Questions are always welcome!
