Learn about the 2020 Census, including how to get a job with the Census. The 2020 Census counts every person living in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories. Once a decade, America comes together to count every resident in the United States, creating national awareness of the importance of the census and its valuable statistics. The decennial census was first taken in 1790, as mandated by the Constitution. It counts our population and households, providing the basis for reapportioning congressional seats, redistricting, and distributing more than $675 billion in federal funds annually to support states, counties and communities’ vital programs — impacting housing, education, transportation, employment, health care and public policy.

The City of Dublin has plans to turn the lower level of the current Dublin Police Services wing at the Civic Center into a Cultural Arts Center. The proposed Center will feature additional dance, music, art, and theater spaces than those that are already offered by Dublin Parks and Community Services. This is the second of three meetings that the City encourages residents to attend in order to provide feedback on the project. This workshop will provide an opportunity for the public to meet with the design consultant and City staff, and review the design value and programmatic elements. The final meeting will be a Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission meeting in the Dublin City Council Chamber on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.
