Are you ready to meet some animals from the rainforest? Wildmind Science is a local wildlife sanctuary for animals that cannot be released into the wild. For the Spirit of the Rainforest show, we will see unusual and awe-inspiring animals and come to better understand the tropical rainforest and its plants, wildlife, and people. We'll get to see some of the following animals at the show: Coendou, Anteater, Scarlet Macaw, Skink, and Spectacled Owl. There are two shows, at 1:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. (Please note: this show begins earlier than our other Tuesday events.) Free tickets for both shows will be handed out in front of the library beginning at 12:30 p.m. the day of the program. All members of your party must be in line to receive a ticket. Seating is limited to the first 90 people in line for each show.

Dig deep into Dublin’s roots to learn about the tribes of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok people who were the first inhabitants of this area. The exhibit begins with a brief look at the people who lived here first and whose descendants continue to live here today. Learn about their daily lives including horticultural practices and foodways, tools and technology, environmental management, social order, and beliefs. Displays include a house model, examples of usable plants and animals, hunting tools and mortars. Monthly Hands-on History Days further explore the daily life of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok and provide hands-on activities that bring the exhibit to life.
