Bring your current project to show off and provide inspiration for others, or bring an abandoned or difficult project for advice. Beginning knitters should bring their own supplies. Yarn donations are always welcome!

Friendly teen volunteers can assist you with using the library's eBook collections
You can get help with: downloading eBooks from the library's catalog onto an e-reader, tablet, laptop, etc.; downloading the eBook apps onto a device; setting up your account with any of the library's eBook collections; accessing eBooks and eAudiobooks once you've checked them out. No registration necessary; please drop in. Individual appointments may be scheduled on selected Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Inquire at the Dublin Library for more details.

Beginner and experienced painters are invited to paint along with a local teaching artist, creating a project to take home. The theme is "Community Faces, Community Places." Begin with a snapshot of Dublin in 1968, when the Dublin Chamber of Commerce was formed. As a small town with fewer than 100 businesses, fast-growing Dublin had beauty salons and barber shops, auto repair shops, and a cocktail lounge or two to serve new suburbanites who were moving here by the thousands. Learn about the Chamber’s first battle involving a soapbox derby, and see how the Chamber advocated for local businesses. By 1982, Dublin had more than 675 businesses and had become a major shopping and recreational destination with a bowling alley, drive-in movie theater, roller rink, and every type of fast food imaginable. Discover the Chamber’s role in helping Dublin gain a reputation as one of the best cities in California for business owners.

Parks Air Force Base was a basic training center, overseas replacement depot, and air base defense training area during the Korean War. Learn about the Korean War and how Parks Air Force Base provided basic training and prepared airmen for flight school and service. See on display a recruit's ‘regulation’ bunk complete with footlocker and souvenirs; uniforms including the herringbone jumpsuit worn for work duty; an officer’s desk complete with General MacArthur snow globe and original Parks AFB yearbooks with photos depicting the training and camaraderie Parks AFB personnel; and original construction plans, reports, photographs, and documents for Parks AFB and Hospital.
