NOTICE INVITING BIDS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Public Works Department of the City of Dublin, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, County of Alameda, State of California, 94568, until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on August 13, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in City Hall of the City of Dublin, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, California, for the “Project” entitled:

Imagine Playground At Dublin Sports Grounds

Project No. PK0518

This project provides for the removing and properly disposing of existing landscaping/irrigation, hardscape, portions of parking lot, playground, picnic area, restroom, associate amenities and constructing new site improvements for an all-abilities playground a the Dublin Sports Grounds, 6700 Dublin Boulevard.  The play equipment, safety surfacing, restroom structure, and public art will be constructed by separate Contractors concurrently with the new site improvements.

Qualifications:
All bidders must possess a valid class A California contractor’s license and bids must include bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount.

DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS: Contractor and subcontractors listed on the bid proposal must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, and must furnish electronic certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner. The successful bidder shall pay not less than the general prevailing wage rate of per diem wages to all workers employed on this project.

BID INELIGIBILITY: A firm that has provided architectural or engineering services to the Department for this contract before bid submittal for this contract is prohibited from any of the following: (1) submitting a bid; (2) subcontracting for any part of the work; or (3) supplying materials to any contractor or subcontractor working on the project.
