The City of Dublin invites qualified professional artists or high school student artists working under the supervision of an art teacher or art professional to submit designs for the next phase of painted utility box artwork installations. Ten new utility boxes will be painted during the 2021 art series. All proposals must be received by the City of Dublin by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021. Winning artists will be paid a $1,000 stipend per utility box painted.
Artwork themes should follow the City’s values, which are part of the adopted Mission and Vision statements. The City's Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission will review and recommend designs to the Dublin City Council. The City expects contracts to be awarded in June 2021, with all ten utility boxes to be painted by September 30, 2021.
