Summary of Actions Taken by Dublin City Council on Tuesday, September 20

At its regular meeting held on Tuesday, September 20, the Dublin City Council took a number of actions. Below is a summary of actions taken:

  • Welcomed Dublin Police Services Behavioral Health Unit Supervisor John Beard and Associate Therapist Anne Ologbosele.
  • Welcomed new City of Dublin Staff members, Felicia Escover with the Economic Development Department; Tony Lam and Liz Rivera with the Parks and Community Services Department; and Linda Ajello with the Community Development Department.
  • Approved the minutes of the September 6, 2022, Regular City Council Meeting.
  • Approved proposed changes to the City of Dublin's current Personnel System Rules and Position Allocation Plan, in order to account for new health premium rates and additions to the City's workforce.
  • Approved an amendment to the agreement with Goodwin Consulting Group, Inc., for on-call special tax and disclosure services related to formation, annexation, and administration of community facilities districts. 
  • Approved the following proclamations for the month of October in the City of Dublin: Walk and Roll to School Week; Fire Prevention Week; Red Ribbon Week; Bullying Prevention Month and Unity Day; Energy Action Month; Breast Cancer Awareness Month; Domestic Violence Awareness Month; Youth Justice Awareness Month; Disability Employment Awareness Month; Cybersecurity Awareness Month; Arts and Humanities Month; Global Diversity Awareness Month; Children's Environmental Health Month; Manufacturing Day; and Substance Abuse Prevention Month.
  • Authorized the City Manager to approve contract change orders with Suarez and Munoz Construction, Inc., for the Fallon Sports Park - Phase 3 Project.
  • Approved the plans and specifications and awarded a contract to Strawn Construction, Inc., for the Cultural Arts Center Project.   
  • Authorized the issuance of special tax bonds for, and on behalf of, the City of Dublin Community Facilities District No. 2015-1 (Dublin Crossing), to provide financing for a portion of the costs and expenses of authorized public improvements. 
  • Adopted an updated Official List of Proclamations for the City of Dublin.
