On Monday, March 14, PG&E will begin a gas transmission upgrade project on Dougherty Road in San Ramon, just north of the Dublin city limits. Drivers should prepare for delays.
PG&E estimates the project will take upwards of five months to complete. The construction activity will occur in phases, in order to keep Dougherty Road open to both northbound and southbound traffic. In each phase, a traffic control plan will be implemented to reduce vehicle travel lanes down to a minimum of one lane in each direction in order to allow for roadway excavation between Austin Creek Road and Old Ranch Road in San Ramon.
Work within Dublin city limits will be limited to the placement of traffic control signs and cones.
