Starting Tuesday, September 7, sections of the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station parking garage (5801 Owens Dr., Pleasanton) will close in phases to accommodate lighting construction work that will take place over the course of approximately eight weeks. During phase one of the project, levels two through four will remain open. Level one will reopen for phase two of construction, while the upper levels will be closed. Surface parking lots and ADA stalls will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
Based on BART's latest ridership data, the agency anticipates ample parking availability during the closure for riders who rely on the garage. BART staff will monitor parking demand and adjust construction plans accordingly should additional parking spaces be needed.
This retrofit is part of BART's larger lighting improvement plan that will upgrade lighting in 14 station garages throughout the transit system, increasing energy efficiency and brightness.
