While City of Dublin offices are closed to the public, most City staffers are still at work in order to keep the City running as efficiently as possible. This includes permitting, inspections, City street and park maintenance, as well as public safety. Most staffers are working remotely, but in the areas of community development and fire services, plan checks and inspections will continue for residential building permits and for commercial safety measures (i.e., electrical, structural, plumbing, and sanitation).
The City of Dublin has invested in the necessary technology to process most permits and inspections online. Over eighty-percent of these are already scheduled online. At this time, over-the-counter permits are now being issued via e-mail and plan checks are being conducted online. Building inspectors are out in the field conducting necessary inspections to keep safety measures in place, as well as residential building processes running as smoothly as possible. For those who have general Building and Planning questions, please email: email@example.com.
In the area of maintenance, City parks, streets, and traffic signals will continue to be maintained. Utility services should not be affected by the Shelter in Place Order. The City’s Request Tracker system is still running, although there may be some delay in response from City staff.
Dublin Police and Alameda County Fire are at full staff in order to maintain safety throughout the City of Dublin. To maintain public safety, please follow the guidance set forth in the order by Alameda County Department of Public Health.
City of Dublin administrative phone lines are in operation, but we ask for patience from residents during this time, as we attempt to answer all questions.
