The City of Dublin is seeking volunteers for its 11th Annual Creek Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 21, 9:00 a.m. to noon. Dublin’s Creek Cleanup Day is part of California Coastal Cleanup Day, which is the largest volunteer event in the U.S. Volunteers will meet at Emerald Glen Park (near the basketball courts along Gleason Drive) for instructions and a light breakfast before heading out to one of four creeks. At noon, participants can return to Emerald Glen Park for a pizza lunch. A signed waiver is required, and children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Cleaning up creeks and waterways in Dublin helps preserve local habitats and reduces marine pollution which travels to the San Francisco Bay through our creeks, storm drains, and waterways. Dublin’s event is part of a state, national, and international Coastal Cleanup Event. Interested participants should register at https://dublincreekcleanup2018.eventbrite.com.
