The Dublin Youth Advisory Committee will be holding a concert on Sunday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m., to raise money for the City’s Youth Fee Assistance Program. The Youth Fee Assistance Program helps underprivileged youths participate in the City’s recreation programs. The City is currently seeking performers, aged ? to 18, to appear in the concert. All types of talent will be considered! If you are interested, please contact Henry Siu at henry.siu@dublin.ca.gov to receive an application. The application deadline is 5:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2014. Pre-sale tickets will be available at the Shannon Community Center until April 12.
The program will offer instruction by experienced law enforcement staff on topics such as: Crime Scene/Evidence Collection, Traffic and Radio Operations, Juvenile Justice, and Coroner’s Bureau. Participants will have an opportunity to tour the Alameda County Crime Lab, Juvenile Hall, Santa Rita Jail, the 5th largest jail in the nation, as well as get a taste of officer training at the Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC).
