Exploring Dublin's First Inhabitants
Saturday, April 6, 2019
Dig deep into Dublin’s roots to learn about the tribes of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok people who were the first inhabitants of this area. The exhibit begins with a brief look at the people who lived here first and whose descendants continue to live here today. Learn about their daily lives including horticultural practices and foodways, tools and technology, environmental management, social order, and beliefs. Displays include a house model, examples of usable plants and animals, hunting tools and mortars. Monthly Hands-on History Days further explore the daily life of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok and provide hands-on activities that bring the exhibit to life.
