The holidays are a special time of year, and the City of Dublin hosts many festive, long-standing traditions which bring the community together. The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Breakfast with Santa are joyful events in which families come together in celebration.
37th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Thursday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m.Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza
Celebrate the start of the holiday season with the traditional lighting of the tree at the Dublin Civic Center. Enjoy lively seasonal entertainment along with cookies and hot cocoa. Also, be on the lookout for a surprise appearance by a very special visitor from the North Pole!

"Deck the Homes" Holiday Decorating Contest
In 2019, the City of Dublin invited residents to participate in the City's Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Homes were chosen for Best Use of Lights, Best Lawn Display, Best Holiday Theme, as well as Best Overall for its curb appeal. New this year: a Best Apartment/Condo and Best Neighborhood (three or more homes either directly next door or across the street from each other in the same block). Judging took place between December 9 and 12. Winners were notified on December 17, and each home was awarded a lawn sign announcing their victory.

Santa Claus is coming to Dublin! Families are invited to enjoy a delicious hot pancake breakfast served with sausage, fruit, coffee, and juice, followed by the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus. Register early as this event, which benefits the Dublin High School Irish Guard and Music Program, is always a sell-out. Santa will be available for holiday photos after each breakfast.*A vegan breakfast option will also be available.
$15 Residents/$18 Non-Residents, per person, all ages
Seatings are at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. Tickets will be available for purchase in November.
Hands-On History: Holiday Activities
Saturday, December 7, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Heritage Park and Museums, 6600 Donlon Way
Create old-fashioned holiday decorations for your home, and take a guided tour of the Kolb House. See how the house was decorated by the Kolb family for their annual holiday celebrations during the early 20th century, and learn how they celebrated with their family and friends. Fun for the whole family!

Celebrate the season with friends at this annual event which will get you on your feet. Whirl your partner around an expansive dance floor while listening to live music. Enjoy refreshments and drawings for door prizes.
