Plogging Challenge

Give Back to Your Community, Get Some Exercise, Win Some Prizes!

Plogging is a fun activity that entails jogging or walking while making quick stops to pick up trash while you go.  This year's Dublin Pride Week will include a Plogging Challenge to raise awareness about storm water pollution and giving residents the opportunity to take action by cleaning up litter from our neighborhoods, parks, trails, and streams. 

How to Play

Participants can join the Dublin Pride Week Plogging Challenge by signing up here by Wednesday. April 21. The Challenge will run from Saturday, April 24 - Saturday, May 1, 2021. All participants that register will receive a complimentary Plog-n-Go Kit.

Plog-n-Go Kits will be available for pick-up:

  • Thursday, April 22, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Emerald Glen Park. Look out for the green Dublin canopy at the Dublin Farmers' Market.
  • Saturday, April 24, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., at Emerald Glen Park.

To be eligible to win a Plogging prize pack, participants must follow the the below steps:

  1. Register here
  2. Submit photos via email and post to your social media and tag @cityofdublinca and #DublinPrideWeek
  3. Enter your trash collections in the CleanSwell app


Five winners will be selected at random for their participation, and the participant that collects the most trash will also receive a prize pack. Winners will be announced on the City of Dublin's social media accounts and website. 

All ploggers must abide by all physical distancing guidelines and City and State laws. 

Ploggers please dispose of trash in City park receptacles or at your home.
