Green Fleet Policy
The City of Dublin established a Green Fleet Policy in 2012 so that the City's operations will continue to be cleaner and more sustainable. The Green Fleet Policy requires that the City make every effort to obtain the "cleanest" vehicles possible and provides guidelines for the procurement, management, and operation of fleet vehicles to:
- Reduce the consumption of petroleum fuels and other non-renewable resources
- Replace the petroleum fuels with renewable/sustainable alternatives
- Reduce vehicle emissions
- Maximize fuel efficiency
- Reduce costs and save money
