City renewable energy use

The City of Dublin currently generates 19% of its energy needs with the solar voltaic arrays. The remaining energy comes from East Bay Community Energy (EBCE). EBCE provides the City with at least 40% renewable energy and an additional 60% is carbon-free because we opted up to Brilliant 100 for all municipal buildings.  Therefore, 51.4% of the City’s energy comes from renewable energy sources and 100% is carbon-free.

Of the building energy consumed, 57% is produced by the solar arrays at the Civic Center, Dublin Library, Fire Station 16, Fire Station 17, Fire Station 18, Shannon Center, and the Senior Center.
