Responsibilities
The Investigations Division is responsible for conducting follow-up investigations with the goal of identifying and arresting the person(s) responsible for alleged crimes. Among others, the division investigates:
- Auto thefts
- Crimes against persons
- Forgeries
- Property crimes
Evidence Pick-up
Major crimes and other criminal activities frequently require considerable time for follow-up investigations, evidence gathering, and interviewing witnesses and suspects. If you have questions regarding how to pick up evidence related to an investigation, please contact the Dublin Police Services Business Office. Please be prepared to provide the following information:
- Name
- Report Number
- Date and/or Location of Occurrence
Crime Stoppers
The City of Dublin is a member of the
Southern Alameda County Crime Stoppers organization, which provides a way to anonymously report the whereabouts of wanted persons who are featured in weekly newspaper articles. Callers contact the police through the publicized tip hotline; if the information supplied leads to an arrest, a reward is paid to the informant.
