The City of Dublin's Heritage and Cultural Arts division offers a wide variety of dance, music, visual and performing arts classes, camps and workshops to meet the creative needs and interests of the Dublin community.
Programs for all ages are taught by contract instructors who are specialists in their field and passionate about teaching their art forms to new students. Most programs are suitable for beginners, though many allow intermediate and advance students to practice and perfect their skills.
Check out these new, unique and popular cultural arts classes in the latest Activity Guide: Bollywood Fusion dance, Irish dance, Hip-Hop dance, Tap dance, Ukulele, Flower Arranging and Paper Tole, a 3-D paper crafting technique. For a complete list, see the Activity Guide page to page through our online Activity Guide or download PDF versions of the sections that most interest you.
For experienced musicians and artists who enjoy the camaraderie of practicing with others, Dublin also hosts drop-ins programs. Heritage Park & Museums host free Irish and Traditional music jams every Tuesday. The Dublin Senior Center offers nominally priced peer-led drop-in programs for acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, knitting, crochet, sewing and music for those age 50+.
We welcome proposals from passionate teaching artists in any discipline who are interested in sharing their art form with students. The City of Dublin partners with contract instructors to offer marketing and registration services in exchange for a percentage of the registration fees collected. Classes can be offered at your facility or ours. Contact the Heritage and Cultural Arts supervisor to request a class proposal form and discuss the class you wish to propose.
